Description
This law defines the crimes that can occur online and on the internet, such as surveillance, espionage, data privacy, unauthorized access, etc., and lists the legal penalties associated with them (imprisonment, fines, and the like).
Effects
This law specifies the judicial procedures related to “online crimes.” It identifies the responsible individuals and legal entities in the field of cyber processes and determines which organization (regardless of the judicial system) can take action against offenders. For example, in a section of this law, a directive from Filtering Committee (the group responsible for determining and blocking so-called criminal content online) is considered equivalent to a judicial order.
